Inadequacy

Ok fy, we will trust you on this one, but if the korean restaurant is not there, dinner will be on you! haha.

the lecturers were right, internship will get busier and busier, yh and shisi alone are great examples. my colleagues are also giving me more and more work now, which is nice in a way but also kind of sucky cos i also want time to do my own things (read: check email and surf blogs). lucky i'm not in a company like byt****ia, i would have died and gone to heaven (yesssss heaven) by now.

i met my client on wednesday. you know, the one who didn't like my copy. well i eventually dumbed down what i had wrote initially and he said "good job". maybe he just didn't want to hurt my feelings but he hasn't requested any changes since my second draft. ssshhhh, don't tell anyone but you may view the site here.

about the meeting,

i think there were some miscommunication there. from my side, i had planned to present the copy and mockups that my designer has done to my client, so if he approves of everything, we will go ahead with doing up html.

but when i went for the meeting, i could feel that he had expected everything to be done up already, and i could somewhat sense his disappointment. of course i'm not one to disappoint people if i could help it, so it felt like i wasn't performing up to standard when my client wasn't happy; in a minute way, it felt like i had let my company down.

so i was a bit upset for a moment.

till i realise the miscommunication had nothing to do with me. :)

truth is, this website development project had been passed around in the client's company from one person to another so they all had no idea what the previous person had discussed with me or had assigned me to do. plus, no one likes to say that they haven't done much so they will all try to up their accomplishments when they handover this project and look what happened in the end? things get blown out of proportion.

not my fault what. nyeh nyeh.

anyway, going back to SB on thursday was definitely pleasant. so thursday was a good day for me, despite what happened earlier in the week. i was quite thrilled when the year twos mentioned our group name (cutsix) and sy's opening line (ignorance is bliss) and my ahemahem award (best presenter). haha, never thought this would, or could, happen. but if you think about it, if we could all remember felicia the impressive presenter, zarinah the boring presenter, aaron the mascot... why can't the year twos remember cutsix? ;)

but it's weird to be called a senior now. funny, i used to remember lecturers saying "meet your seniors" and now i'm on the other side, i can't get used to it. sounds so old. we actually have juniors now. haha.
