re christmas exchange

Meanest msged me on friday night (i think) asking me to post what I want and don't want for our belated secret santa. Since she might be tulan (haha) if I don't post, I thought I should.

I don't want:
soft toys (cellmate don't laugh)
earrings
things I cannot use (eg. display ornaments, paperweights...)

Some good ideas include a nightlight (cos I scared of dark), cookbooks (with recipes that are not too difficult), and err... use your imagination lah. I'm very shui bian, won't make any comments about choice of gift in front of you one lah. :P

I think I'm not supposed to say who I'm buying for right? Then everyone has to post what they want/dont want? Please do that soon!

Slowly but surely.

dear all,

when i revisited our website, i had a shock on seeing not one but TWO long post! hahaha really happy. i always visit our blog but always dead. hahaha

so you cannot imagine my shock when i saw the 2 long post. hehhe

pw, if you really miss us too much, then just say. we won't laugh at you because WE REALLY MISS YOU TOO MUCH TOO!!! i told fy, we will all take a 1/2 day leave and go back SP and wreck our lecturers! wahaha

wah! this week i am going to be a FAT TURKEY/PIG! wednesday, dinner. thursday, dinner. friday, dinner. weekend, kelong trip - 4 meals a day! wahhhh faint.......

but because it's for my cut6 loves, i don't mind getting fat for once a year la! hahaha

My first life-and-death encounter with a (big) cockroach

realised that i have not posted a proper post since september, except for outings' announcements, birthday wishes etc :p

just a little while ago, i had my first life and death encounter with a cockroach. i was about to step into the toilet when i saw this big, black, disgusting cockroach resting somewhere near the toilet bowl. knowing me, i ran off immediately.

but the xiao qiang was really too big that i couldn't bear to see it escape alive and afterwards return to haunt me further. for your information, everytime i see a cockroach at home, all i had to do is to shout: "PA/MA/DI DI!!! YOU ZHANG LANG!!!!!" after which the poor cockroach would vanish from earth forever. but today, unfortunately, i was alone at home......

after hesistating for 5 minutes and calling my mum to check what time she will be coming back (unfortunately again, she did not bring her handphone), i finally plucked up all my courage, picked up the SHIELDTOX ODOURLESS KILLER, and headed for the toilet.

i stood outside the toilet, aimed the spray at xiao qiang with trembling hands, and took a deep breath.

with all my might, i pressed the spray head for one full minute.

during the process, xiao qiang struggled and tried to escape through the toilet door, which of coz i wont allow it; i pressed harder and made it went inside again. finally i gave up and ran back to my room after i noticed the force of the spray slowly diminishing. after the ordeal, i was panting as if i just finished a 2.4 km run, my hands were shaking uncontrollably, and my index finger hurt.

15 minutes later, my mum returned. she found a dead cockroach lying si jiao chao tian in the toilet. and to her horror i had used up the whole can of spray while trying to kill one cockroach.

anyhow, i am quite pleased that i managed to exterminate the first cockroach in my life. though my index finger still hurts.

cut6 communications - are we any nearer?

Are we even making (any) efforts at all? I have no idea... I don't see anyone or anything happening. Sighs. HOWEVER, I am still pinning a ray of hope. :)

fy, I understand your busy schedule and preparation on our trip. Don't worry. Just make sure you remember to bring back gifts for us. Hehehe. When are you leaving again? Sorry it keeps slipping off my mind. What time is your filght? Do remember to bring medicine for your cold (as usual!) and enough tissue papers to last for the trip.

I've been busy for the past 2 weeks as well. So many deadlines to complete, I am staying in office till late these days. Even went back to office last Saturday and stayed till 8pm. Super no life, yes. Luckily, I managed to catch up with lee qing over MSN last weekend (in office. haha). Glad to know that we're all still in one piece and surviving. Hee.

I am anxiously waiting for pw to come back and let's all tear down SP (to be more specific: the king's room) again as he's eagerly waiting for our arrival. hahahaha of coz, not forgetting doris & pingster and other too!!

so sorry.. haven't been updating for quite some time :p been busy with the preparations for my china trip. it's less than 2 weeks to the trip; me & my team are trying hard to finish discussing and going through the programmes that we are going to carry out over there. been meeting up 3 times a week these days...

hee.. i missed our good old sch days too, & i do hope we can meet up soon :) i guess time and other factors are quite beyond our control once we are out of sch, start working and have our own agenda in life.. but we promised to stay as cut6 yeah? & dun forget our cut6 communications!

so sorry sy, wanted to go ur hse stayover, but just seemed to have something on everyday for the last week.. paiseh.. hee, do place the photo montage in a prominent place and remember us every now and then! :p

wow pw, u still keep in touch with sp's news even when u are so far away in perth.. i din even noe abt this before u told us :p i went to the website and read about the musical, haha yeah i do agree with sy that its after we left that they have all these fun and interesting stuff going on.. i saw on tv sometime ago abt this course on song writing and sound engineering.. imagine ur lesson time: sing, play musical instruments, do recording; and your project is to compose a song..

Walau! Don't know how to PR meh? I'm not the friendliest of people but at least I would have answered something like "Yeah, I was doing Mass Comms at NP" and not one word answers like she did! Plus, if I were a new student, the last thing I would do is to appear unfriendly. See... not that I want to pick on NP graduates, but the evidence is there isn't it?

Don't know why, I was on the bus a couple of days ago when I suddenly remember our trip to BP and KL. When we were on the bus back and manee princess was holding on tight to her, what else, manee bing, and SY spotted a couple of girls who kept staring at us. sorrie.. i was in malaysia 31 may-3 june, so din reply ur(sy) sms.. hee.. what impt thing u wan to announce? getting married? changing job? :p

anyway, i was in bukit tinggi for my church camp the past few days.. all was okay except that the journey was soooooo loooong..... i almost wanted to vomit in the bus already -_-'''

shrek2 came to my mind while we were travelling. the part where they were travelling to the princess' kingdom - "the kingdom of far far away". haha.. i feel like the donkey, who keeps asking "are we there yet?....are we there yet?.... are we there yet?.... are we there yet?...."

coz the resort is up in the hills, we had to go up this winding slope. the going up was bearable, but the coming down was horrible! the driver went so fast down the winding slope that i felt i was in a roller coaster.. made me real sick when we finally reached the bottom of the hill. even the strongest guy fren of mine felt his stomach turned when we were going down the slope..

but the weather there was quite nice. though very sunny in the day, the breeze was cooling, at least won't sweat the way we did when we were in sg. think it's coz we were way up in the hills and mountains where fresh and cooling air were all around us. but i still missed home (read: lucy) anyway...

we reached sg safely on sat nite. home sweet home (lucy) !! (sings: this is home...truly...where i know i must be...this is where i won't be alone....for this is where i know it's home!!!........)

i just googled for our bintan trip. bintan is truly expensive!! *bawls* doubt we're able to enjoy. i don't wish a repeat of our KL trip. u know what i mean?

can we switch to Phuket? Yes, I know lah, the other time we discussed Phuket then now bintan then now back to Phuket. But Thai baht is really cheaper...what do you all think? let me know.

Hello hello, all is well with things Downunder. Very busy with school assignments and readings, but not too busy to catch spelling mistakes on our blog. Heeheehee.

Eh I'm onz about our trip ok. But please bear in mind that I'm coming from somewhere further so please don't pick a place that eats tourist dollars. Thanks. If things are not confirmed by end June I'll go ahead with other plans... :P

Anyhow, any major changes happening to cutsix (including those "dead" members)? Nothing much happens here, except that I can't wait to graduate and that I have cute housemates who bake mouth-watering banana bread (SY should like it a lot).

had dinner with meanest at subway just now. i tell you, meanest remains meanest! i was telling her how stupid subway told me i cannot toast my bread because the oven is off. -_- it's only freaking 8.30pm! know what she suggested? "You should have told them you don't want the sandwich already." Oh my goodness! me, being me, could only give them that "Hurh? What nonsense you talking about!?" But fy has better. Aiyooooo...

I realized that she has changed. Changed for the better. :D Very good, very comforted. I just called her to "kacau" after tired of exchanging sms. hehe. all, pls note her comments:

Hello, everyone. After such a long long hiatus, finally I see new entries on this blog. After I put "this blog is already dead" at the masthead. Sighs! Haha

Anyway, it's nice to see the members alive and kicking again. I don't mind a dinner soon, but has to be cheap as I've somehow blown off this month's budget. I cannot even have a hair cut this month, got to wait for April. :( I wished every month has 28 days. Haha!!

I was sms-ing with yh yesterday when she asked if our trip to PHUKET is confirmed. Eh, I thought we're going Bintan? Aiyoooooooo, can somebody please verify??? At this rate, I don't think we can go.

Let's meet up for dinner. Let's go curry flavour! hahaha (no money liao still wana go expensive places). Maybe let's just stick with hawker centre? ;)

how has everybody been? i'm so sorry the last SP visit was unsucessful. could not take leave as boss was abroad and lots of things undone. paiseh..

hmm.. but sometimes quite tiring to be the organiser all the time ar.. like nobody really initiate to meet up..

anyway, pw is back in perth now. i'm msn-ing her while writing this (hey i can multi-task!) sy is missing her already, she told me during lunch. but pw says it's coz i concentrate on my food too much and didn't talk to sy, that's why she feels this way :p

work has been relatively busy for me (i dun dare to exaggerate, coz compared to sy, mine is xiao wu jian da wu :p) somehow my work is slowly inclining to administration, and i find myself not wanting to do all that. if i am just to do admin, then i might as well work as admin staff after my 'A' levels, why do dmc? (i feel quite remorseful towards our dmc lecturers for i'm not practising what i've learnt in sch) feeling quite direction-less, not knowing what i want and no short-term goal in mind. hai..

i miss school, miss classmates, miss the carefree days..

Some thoughts

Next week's my last week at work. Dunno whether to be estatic or, haha, depressed. Work has been intermittently busy, although the sp intern (our dmc junior) sounds like he's very free. Everyday I watch him leave promptly at 6pm, and many a time I watch him go for smoke breaks. Plus, he doesn't seem to be doing very well for his weekly gradings. Very unfortunate.

Anyway, I'm going to beat fy to this. She's suggested going back to sp to visit occupant in T194something something, you know, the one who sent her that Christmas email lor. Yours truly leaves on the 20th so maybe we can squeeze a half day in before that.

Yes, you guys can send me off on 20th. My parents have taken leave to send me to the airport so if you play nice, they will offer you a lift to work or something. Those two 老人s don't have much to do one lah (don't tell them I called them that).

Back to work

Hi guys,

Yesterday night I got a call from my sup at my IP company. I thought she was Jose, lol. Anyway, she asked me to do some temporary work to help them out til early Feb. It's a very short time, but then the company is quite nice to work in, so I agreed lor. My sup also told me they read my blog, haha, it was discovered via my link to the company website. On one hand I'm not surprised, on the other hand I wished it hadn't happened.

Anyhow, what's next for cutsix? Hey I'm game with opening our own cutsix, really leh, plus Phuket, and "Johnny's", or "Chimneys"... :)

i enjoyed yesterday night very much, hope all of u did too :) hmm.. looking back at today one yr ago, we were still SP DMC students waiting eagerly(?) for our internship. Now, we are on our separate paths to work and further studies..

it's really great to have known cut6 in SP, i'm sure poly life wont be that colourful and exciting without u all. all of us have our shortcomings and differences, but even if given a choice, i wouldn't want any combination other than cut6. i do hope we will keep each other in our lives as we walked through the different stages in life. and not forgetting cut6 communications :p

looking forward to the many years of birthdays to come..

p/s: today is wenqi's bithday as well. happy birthday to u, wenqi!!

Hi,

If all goes well, I think a dinner will be planned for the 9th (Monday), since the 10th is someone's bf's birthday... place is yet to be decided, but please let me know if anyone of you would prefer a change of date or if you have places you'd like to go, otherwise I take it that everyone's ok with the 9th. :)
