i realised it has been a long time since i came online.
i realised that my blog has been deleted by myself.
i realised that before i can understand what actually happened, it actually happened.
if u dunno what i am talking, it is never meant to be known.

-sigh- so many things happened over the past year.
Thinking back, year 2005 was a time of joy and sorrows.
More sorrows i would say.
it started with the death of a close friend and ended with the death of my great grandma.
How ironic, my friend passed away at the age of 19 and my great grandma passed away at a good old 103. One had not yet experienced the real life, while the other has already experienced the taste of life.

Life is short. It made me realise that life is indeed short:(

And thus, do Cherish me ok? haha...

i mean, i cherish the friendship with u guys :)

back liao!!!

yoZ!! i'm back! A bit jet lagged currently... haha. One thing i learnt is that Singapore is close to a shopping heaven (compared to UK). And the food.... not that i miss the food here very much, but i sure miss the prices! (can you imagine 5 pounds for a simple mac meal??? thats about 15 sing dollars)... Am so happy that finally i'm in a land where people will probably understand what i'm uttering- the people in UK sometimes fail to comprehend what we're saying through our accent and well, the Spanish hardly speak English *screams*.

Taxi Driver: "*Spanish words that i do not understand*"
Classmate: "Airport, Terminal B"
Taxi Driver: "*Spanish words* B?"
Classmate: "Yeah B"
Taxi Driver: "A, B? B?"
Classmate: "Si" <--"yes" in Spanish, pronounced as "C"

jitao confused sia!

Something interesting, and maybe a bit nostalgic

My parents, interestingly and surprisingly enough, downloaded Google Earth on our family computer while I was away in the beautiful land of Perth. Here's something I found after about thirty minutes of playtime:

Have highlighted a couple of places for easier recognizability. Heh. We should visit this sometime before my uni vacation is up.

One last note: this post is proudly brought to you by Google Earth.

A letter to the cuts.

My dear cut-mates,

I haven't seen you guys for some time. With the exception of meanest because we've been having lunch very often and keep in touch all the time.

I had Subway lunch with her just now. Yes, meanest actually took proper lunch for once. Many other times, she just bring her own "Fortune Bag".

In any case, I was discussing with her on the place to go for our Christmas dinner. As we were strolling in Jasons (supermarket), we've decided to have our own potluck. My suggestion was to come to my place (at Yishun) for dinner. My grandma can cook for all of us. Of course, you all have to do your part by bringing somethings like chips, beer and meanest wanted a cake! :D

Isn't it nice? So, what do you all think? Do let me know. I suggest to have the dinner on 23rd this month, Friday. Reason being, my cousin will be (back) in Singapore on 14th and I want to celebrate with her since this is her first trip back since she migrated to Down Under.

I was thinking Satrday will be better but considering that it's Christmas Eve, some will celebrate with their boys. ;)

Let me know ASAP because we need to plan also mah!

Luv,
meanie

See you guys mid-January, have a happy Christmas!

(Do not expect belated presents or even presents of any sort when I come back, heehee)

Updates

Dunno if you all know, but HKL and Fenton left SP already. There's this new Claire Ng (I think that's her name lah) teaching DTP (I think that's what she's teaching lah) but sounds like she's quite lousy.

Sorry my gossip not very reliable. Heehee.

holidays..

hi pwen, glad to hear from you :) dun worry, the time will fly by and you will be back HOME very soon!! i'm sure you will have lots of fun with your holidays spent at a farm :)

nothing much lately, except this week is a three-day week for us. yesterday was deepavali and tomoro is hari raya puasa. so this week is short. but quite stupid ar, work one day, rest one day, work one day, rest one day... unless we take mon,wed and fri off. then will have one whole week off :p hee that's wat sy did, she took wed and fri off to have holiday..

anyway, work here is fine, but doing mostly admin support. thinking of changing department. now i'm in programme and communications department, but the publishing department needs ppl. they do layout and printing. hee, that's where my pagemaker skills can be put into use :p (by the way, i think they use indesign, not pagemaker, but similiar)

but seems quite awkward, i scared my boss not happy that i “跳槽” to another department. anyway, i can decide and work that out slowly..

ok that's all for now. hope u r enjoying ur hols sy! looking forward to ur return pwen :) where are all of u lq, yh, jess?

happy holidays!!!

An attempt to revive the dead

Hello! Are you guys alive and well? Fangying has, to date, mailed me two letters. Snail mail wor! I didn't even know that such things still existed in this modern day of Internet and Laziness. But it's nice getting old-fashioned letters nonetheless. :)

I cannot wait til I get home for CNY. Now is the time I absolutely want time to fly as fast as possible. A lot of the international students are going home for Christmas, one girl even went home last thursday, and term hasn't even officially ended. For some of us, exams haven't even started. Goodness.

We're looking for a farm job this Christmas! Not bad right? Grape-picking and stuff like that. Will be under the hot summer sun for the most part but don't worry, I'll try to remember to apply sun screen and not come back the colour of chocolate.

Christmas is coming, or have you guys not noticed? Ok it's about two months away but decorations are already starting to be put up in the big city stores. Technically, the weather should start turning cooler but alas, you know Australia.

Looking forward to my vacation home!

With much love,

Hahaha!

Happy Happy Birthdays from Perth!

Reliving Childhood.

This is for the benefit of pw.

We celebrated birthday for you, did u sense it? I bet you did! Anyway, we went to Mind's cafe which the food was so-so but the entertainment was "HAHAHA". This cafe has all sorts of games under the sun roof. From the boring monopoly to the mind-taxing the Settlers.

Unexpectedly, we didn't turn into camera whores. So, here's a few that we took. Really a few leh! After we finished dinner, we wanted to play some games. Else, why we come to this cafe for, right? Missy Comatose happily walked to the other side of the place and walked back with.....(drumroll please) Doggie Monopoly!!! *faints* But we played "I'm the Boss" after that. Guess what, as usual, the mastermind fy wins coz she is the most crafty fella! Hmmph!!!! :P :P :P :P

One hour passed but we were having so much fun we decided to stay a while longer, and missy jess (yes, she is the one to take the games all night) took jenga back. haiii so boring the game. I suggested heart attack but the rest said it's too noisy. By 10pm, the noise level was extremely high already lor, and it wasn't by us.

The funny thing is, there's this guy in the cafe, i think he is the mr-know-it-all. he knows EVERY SINGLE game available leh. When we started on "I'm the Boss", he's the one. Then we had "The Settlers" he was also the one. The funny thing is when he was halfway explaining The Settlers, everyone already brain dead. Haha! Think he could see through la. Then he suggested some brainless game. walau some fruity game lor. Like heart attack only.

In the end, we played heart attack. Nyeh Nyeh!! Much to what I wanted. :P

confirm?

ok.. so is this confirm? :

Date: 21st oct 05 (next fri)
Time: 8pm

place not confirm yet, rite? so maybe we can take a vote? here are the options so far:

-Bakerzinn
-Marche
-K Box
-Secret Recipe
-The mind cafe

the last option is my suggestion. dunno if any of u been there before, i just went & find it quite ok. but provided all of u like to play games (they have all sorts of board games and card games). we can eat & play games at the same time. food not bad and i find the price quite reasonable, nice atmosphere too. it's at princep street, opposite parklane/paradiz centre/peace centre that area. nearest mrt is dhoby ghaut.

but if u all dun wan that option then my vote would be either Marche or Secret Recipe :p

Re:

I would prefer dinner... Cos i went k-box yesternight for my friend's bday celebration... But i don't mind karaoke... Alternatively, can we go to some pub to chill out? hiak hiak~

Do you guys know something? Secret Recipe is having a promotion! Buy 1 slice of cake get one free! And if you were to order their (whole) cake, there will be a 50% discount!

Jess, the party world vouchers are only valid for mon-thurs.

So? This or next friday?

Celebration

make it NEXT friday, can? since this friday isn't "time" yet. plus, this week i am quite jam-packed with MANY MANY DEADlines to meet for a client. then thursday i gotta chau early to watch my Quidam!! :D :D :D

next month better actually coz i'm superbly broke, u see. go do my PR and i/c everything cost me a hefty $200. :'(

yh said she has lesson till 8pm on friday. are we able to wait for her?? i can lar since i don't knock off early anywayz. fy, how about U?

Re: meet up

ok sure, the arrangement is fine with me. i can meet up (but is it this fri or next fri??) anyway both days i can make it.. state clearly the time and date k?

but that time i heard yh said she can only meet on mondays, coz she got no classes on mondays. i'm not sure if she can join us if we meet on a friday..

role switch

haha! finally, jessica's taking up the role of the planner. instead of fy allllll the time. but can we trust jessica to come up with a plan since she's always asleep??? let's find out. :D

anywayz, i was suggesting bakerzinn then after that k-box. sy's virgin in karaoke leh...hahahaha!! :P

lq, i noe u expert till cannot expert liao. don't laugh okai! anywayz, i was thinking bakerzinn then K-box since jess said it's cheaper. but to enjoy student rate, we need obaasan~~ hahah but student package only available in certain outlets. toa payoh is one of them and i tink it's fine. eh student package is half the normal price ler! waaaa saves alot oh!!

ok, my attendance is confirmed if nothing crops up. (i cross fingers).

let's wait for others to reply. i think jess, u have to sms or call lq to tell her the plan coz she hasn't been online for a lonnnnng time.

meet up

heyZ! i think sy mentioned meeting up in an earlier post.. and here's a follow up post!

if we meet up this coming Friday evening/night after sch/work etc can you guys make it? sun bian to celebrate october babies's birthdays...

After talking to her on msn here are the ideal places (not sure spelt correctly):
-Bakerzinn
-Marche (hehe i put this in cause i feel like eating there! the food there smells so nice....)
But since it's like quite sianZ tt everytime we meet we go and eat.. we can also consider
-K Box (i prefer K box la.. cause i think its cheaper and it has better songs...)
-Party world (lq has discount coupon) it also has an outlet in town area.. near HMV

reply ASAP whether you can make it anot k? if lazy to post here den sms!

[edit] after i read SY's post.. i am not sure whether its this friday or next friday sia! hmmm later cfm with her...

Tuesday, October 04, 2005

meet up

er, nobody else reply ar? hmm.. sy, then u & me meet on fri 21st to celebrate pw b'day? :p i'm sure we can feel her presence here with us..

attempt to revive..

yah long time no update le.. nothing much happened. except last weekend i attended 2 weddings. sat was my cf alumni's church wedding and dinner, sun was my church fren's dinner. i dun hate to attend dinner, but 2 dinners consecutive is a bit too much. i felt very bleh until now.. and quite some $$ flew out of my pocket too..

but my fren was very pretty indeed. gorgeous i think. she looked like a princess :)

yesterday accompanied my fren to sim lim; he got an ipod nano. i recognised it coz i saw it on pw (or is it sy's?) blog. wah really very slim.. cost $330. i dun think i will bear to part with that amt of $$ for the.. hmm wat do u call that? radio? music player? or is it mp3 player...

hey we have three oct babies in Cut6.. though pw is not physically here with us, we are still meeting to celebrate their b'days rite? hmm.. 21st, 24th, 27th. on which day u all free to meet? yh can only meet on mon, the only mon is 24th.

jess.. u want to spend ur b'day with us?? :p

We're looking for warmer weather and sunny skies, I repeat, warmer weather and sunny skies

Walau! Spring is late leh!

Remember I mentioned last week that Spring is coming? Turns out we've been taken for a ride! This week we've been plagued by colder-than-cold temperatures and showers almost every single day! WTF!

After grocery shopping yesterday night my housemate commented,
"Horrible weather isn't it! Though they did say that it'd be warmer next week."
"Yeah. But they said that too last week, didn't they?"
"Well, yes. But I remain optimistic!"

Optimism only lasted a couple of days in my case, unfortunately.
But looking at skies today, it seems like what should happen next week wouldn't be too far off, we haven't had any sign of rain today! Let's hope this lasts!

The flu bug has finally struck me. Of course it didn't help that I was snacking on potato chips at 1am last nigh- I mean, this morning. Smith's Crips take the freshest potatoes and cut them thin for a lighter, crispier crunch. Add the finiest seasonings to create the best thin chip anyone's evar tasted. Proudly made from Australian-grown potatoes. Ok enough of the advertising. I suppose the rain helped a lot, since there isn't a point in carrying umbrellas, I have ceased to have any form of last-minute rain gear on hand. Which means I get caught in the rain all the time. But don't worry, mum has packed enough flu medicine to last the century. She seems to have forgotten I'll only be here for two years. :S

Anyhow. Have fun during the dinner guys! Just a quick question, when is it ah?

WAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! & a reply to the comments

WOW! we have a rare guest on the previous entry comment! (guess who??!)

lq: why you mention sch hols? NOTHING to do with you leh.....you're an adult (now, that you're working.)

as for monday's dinner, fish & co ah...AIYO! very big hole in my pocket ler... can go somewhere better? why not bakerzinn ah? hahahahah i never tried bakerzinn before le. fish&co nothing very nice mah.

fy, CRAZY, 6.30?!!! SO EARLY! walau!! i don't knock off at 6 sharp one u know?? if 8pm, i'll try not to be late. btw, has anyone told comatose-jess? fy, why don't u sms her and inform her about it?

oh u all know, i had offer from mr ang's friend's agency, the one at tanjong pagar? my first job offer which i turned down for LB. remember? one of my designer from my current agency is from there! lo behold! guess who was interning there? baby 'roo and m.@X!! whoa! i tried digging for juicy stuffs la. but apparently, nothing that'll interest you all; particularly the kp pw. :P

Saturday, September 03, 2005

woah...

wooh, suddenly saw all those pics, memories came back to me also. 3 yrs really fly by. but while we were in it we din feel that way rite? (esp when all the projects were falling on us i'm sure we all wished we could graduate immediately!)

and now, half of us are studying while the other half working. i dunno abt those who are studying, but as i slowly sink into the working world, i really feel that student days are still the best. and the days in SP days were the best of my student's life. the most enriching, fun and enjoyable days :)

well, working life can be so unbearable at times. hmm.. i feel that internship during the last semester of sch really can do us a lot of good. it's like a transition from study to work life. during internship u are allowed to make mistakes that may not cost much (except your grades), but u learn from them and make sure that u do not make the same mistakes when u really start working. and u get a taste of working life, at the same time without losing ur "student" status.. i really appreciate that internship arrangement. however, one con is that we dun get to go back sch to continue study after internship. i'm sure we'll appreciate student life more after our internship and we'll work harder on our assignments and exams!

ok, enough abt that.. so are we meeting on 12 Sept monday for dinner? we can go fish and co. or prego. U all ok with that?

lq, hee no la dun want CutSix Pte Ltd, ours is CutSix Communications ok? i think we can work towards that. but hopefully if ever one day we achieved that, we can work well together without breaking our friendship. coz i feel that working together in this rat-race society is different from studying and working together on projects and assignments.

anyway, maybe by that time we may not even be in touch le.. or maybe left with cut3 or cut4.. hmm.. really hope to hear updates from all of u, either here or at our yahoo group..

p/s: hey lq, yah lor in that pic was norman's hand, not ms kwa's :p u got changed la. ur face like more round in yr 1 leh.. now more oval. either u lost weight or maybe due to ur hairstyle..

the past, the present, the ... future ???

was browsing through the photos... see how we transformed and changed over time...

this was taken in MNIT, see, that was Ms Kwa's honoured hand in the photo.

at our presentation.

the fun we had...

and this.

and finally, we graduated.

and the future? will we set up our CUT SIX pte ltd? we shall see...

these past 3 years, it has been great to know you guys. u all brought in the fun, laughter, the tears, the sweetness and bitterness, the loveliest bunch of cuts in this world. from strangers we once were, we became cut six. We passed by each other's routes as nobody, and we became friends for life. even if one day, somehow, we lost contact, take note that the memories shared will forever be there... Luv u guys to bits and pieces!

PS. i realise my looks din really change much. grrr... i tot i shd haf changed for the better... haha!

hey hey, who changed the title to "this blog is half-dead"? :p

pw, how ur mom send mooncakes over? not thru post office rite? DHL or something like that? so now u enjoying urself over there? packed with social activities ar? the signboards pics u sent thru email u took them there? or it's a forwarded mail?

so when's the gathering? let's fix a date here, or else we'll keep pushing it back. we can either go fish & co. or prego(SY)? hee hee..

how about we meet for dinner on monday 12 sept? u guys free?

Sunday, August 28, 2005

Aiyoh!!

wahhh pw, i hope you enjoy hell days II. :)

well well, human are never satisfied with what they have. i thought i wanted weekends to be my oblivion days too but actually i can also lament that i've no social activities. hhahahaha human (esp women) are fickle-minded creatures. ask my colleagues, they all said so. wahahahah!!

we've yet to have a gathering, so pw, you can still join us if you want to. :P it was nice talking on skype that night hoh, hahahah! *makes ICQ sound* (should be ohk-oww) like that bah?

who uses ICQ in this age, i ask you all? only those old people lah, who else? :P the old person is so gonna sulk when she sees this! but hey, she blamed my mike for being faulty when she didn't turn on her speaker and could not hear me. CHEH!!!!

tomorrow's monday. -_- sorta afraid to go back office since i can clearly remember the pile of stuffs on my table, uncleared of.

i told a white lie today. have i sinned?

Auld lang syne

Remember the MMR days? The period we will always fondly recall as 'hell'? I think I'm not gonna get away from that for my next four semesters. My assignments are starting to come in, their deadlines, I mean. For some reason, the university does not encourage groupwork as much as SP does. But strangely enough, I kinda prefer things that way. No offense if you happen to be an angmoh.

One's social calender tends to fill up at all the wrong times, don't you think? Last week I was lamenting the lack of activities in Perth and what happens this weekend? Loads of planned trips for meals, shopping, grocery shopping, meetings, etc. The only problem is my psychology assignment due monday morning.

Sigh.

When I was home I could laze an entire day at home and still be contended. In Perth, give me til mid-afternoon and I'm dying to go anywhere. Plus, spring is coming so the weather is still cool without wearing extra layers.

Mum is sending mooncakes over. I hope they get here. :)

When are you guys going to have a gathering? Or have you already had one?

anyway, did i tell you guys that LB called me (again)?? for an interview. i guess it's for another account other than the you-know-what-skincare-product account. Received a call two days ago from them and just now, an email from them. Aii, they take forever to reply to me and now, i am already unavailable. Sighs!! then my colleague asked me to give her contacts to the person. haah! and i did..... kekekekek

dinner or supper?

i am on for the Fish & co gathering ah. provided it's next month after i've got my pay. BUT the problem is.... maybe by the time i join you all, it'll be supper time. or u guys probably finished your food already.

walau, i think if i am paid OT, one hour 10 bucks only lah hoh, i'd have at least 2k per month leh. i feel so utterly disgusted when i stepped out of office today tonight, near 10. kns, ppl go home frm shopping! i go home frm errr amending ads for client.

so sickening because earlier part of the day, i like nothing to do, everything goes slow and i take my time (:P) coz i was not feeling well also la! then evening came, i looked like a mad woman!!

heck, everyday i look like siao lang. -_-

fy, i think you're happy working with the bible society hoh? well, honestly, i like my job. except a certain client can get very nasty up to the extent i don't dare to call her and clear my doubts. my boss and colleagues are superbly nice, can! i love them to bits! wahahhaha in came a new designer and a Head of Creative (ala Traffic, to us!) but i think jobs are getting done slower. sighs!

i so love my job (despite complaining about them) that i don't really think of my salary le. hmm is this good or bad? i just hope that i get confirmed after 3 months despite the blunders i've made and despite client's complain about us last fri. so jialat, she complain and cc the email to her CEO. wa piang!!

alrightie, 'nuff abt me. pw, u take care in oz ok! don't ear too much duckies duckies!! hehehe and fangying, i miss you leh! though we're so near.

ohh tmr i'm meeting client!! excited!! (ok, a bit over but nervous coz i haven't given her the work which was due today!!!)

let's get together, yeah yeah yeah

Hey guys,

Fish n co sounds good! Set a time and I'll be there, spiritually, that is. :)

Have I mentioned the ducks who live with us at our Student Village? Yes, there are about four or five of 'em, and a whole bunch of duck children. They waddle around like nobody's business and one is free to feed them. Very cute.

We have two lakes around the Village, one of which is only filled when it rains, which is pretty often during winter. The duck family swims in those lakes. Very cute.

Over at the Joondalup campus where I take my psychology minor, they have fully grown kangeroos hopping around as and when the kangeroos wish. Isn't that most amazing? A true integration of man and animals.

A little sidenote here: my uni is broken up into four campuses. I'm at the city campus, Mount Lawley, and Joondalup (mentioned above) is the main campus located about an hour's journey away. Something like Bedok and Dover. :)

misc

hey jess, are u initiating a meal together at fish & co?? hmm..

anyway nothing much to do, came up with a list of what i would look for in a job:

1. Location / Accessibility (dun wan to spend more than one-and-a-half hours travelling to work everyday)
2. Boss / Colleagues (it's a torture to have tempermental boss and mean colleagues)
3. Salary (any amount not less than $1,300 is fine with me)
4. Availability of food (everyday must eat lunch leh, so must be near food!)
5. Benefits (reasonable medical benefits, annual leave etc)

haha that's all for now. so far i'm quite happy in my current job. think all the factors above are reasonably good. but dunno if they want to convert me to perm staff or not. huh..

anyway last time i work at that production hse for a week rite? the boss says she'll send me a cheque but till now i haven receive it. hmm should i call up and ask? i dun even noe how much she'll pay me for that one week of work! my (ex)colleague told me that my (ex)boss should take $1,300 (the monthly salary she offered me) divide by 4. haiya i think i'm very stupid la, like work for free like that. hmm.. as i experience the working world more, i feel that if u dun stand up for urself, nobody will stand up for u. (is it too late to realise that?) and i would think twice (thrice, or maybe 100 times) about working in those small and ulu companies. like no security and the boss might cheat u anytime.. at least must be an established and known company, chances of getting conned maybe lesser?

anyway, i posted something at our yahoo group. coz dunno if appropriate to post it here so publicly.. go check it out :p

p/s: the job link i posted at yahoo group is for temp jobs

fish and co.

sudden craving to eat fish and co.

Hmm, i must be hungry, but i've already had my dinner...

Remember our first class outing was to fish and co.? Very fun. Maybe also because it was subsidised.... a subsidised fish and co. outing whd be good....!

finally...

wah finally see our rare guests update le...

hee, i also feel like watching the chocolate factory movie.. jess, no la i din buy the laptop, my bro bought one. he's much richer than me loh.. hey u sound like u are slowly progressing towards ur goal. continue on :) u noe, one mountain can be higher than another (yi shan hai you yi shan gao) so even if some of ur classmates may be much better than you, but take this as a chance to learn from them! i think u will become a great designer some day. when tt day comes dun forget us hor... hee now miss us har? diff ppl got diff working styles, just have to learn to live with it i guess. is it they discover u gd in ppt that's y now u do all of them? :p and good rite, all the stuff we learnt come into good use :)

hey tt time is it jose who send us the Who Lives Near You site? recently i got email alerts so i went in to check it out, found lots of my primary sch mates!! cant believe i graduated from pri sch 11 yrs ago.. age is catching up on me.. 23 already, and i still haven figured out what career path i wan to take.. this kind of scary thoughts creep up on me every now and then, must be a sign of old age..

jess, u seem to be online every nite but y u seldom update har? by the way, yh lives in hougang, not sengkang ar. and.. er, we dun like travelling, we dun love sch, we have no choice!!

qi qiao jie

today is qi qiao jie, pardon me if i got the hanyu pinyin wrong.

anyway, been a long time since i last update. u guys got miss me or not? i noe u miss me la... (shhh...)

been busy with work lately. tell u ah, when u work from 830am - 8pm,(sometimes OT til 9... and the latest i stayed was 10pm), u bloodyhell got drained out. thus, when i reach home, all i long for is my lovely bed:)

pw, i looked through your course modules (brochures available at mdis) and i think it's similar to what we studied in media & comm. mm maybe that's why u decided to change ya timetable bah~?

anyway, go catch this movie. i think it's quite good. not released yet thou...

and i am thinking of catching this. Yes, i am still a small kid. :)

procastinating

ahZ okok. I shall update! strange though it seems, i feel most motivated to update when my assignment deadline is closing in and i have yet to start doing anything! Some things sure don't change...

wah! fy bought a new laptop? i was wondering... is there any laptop rental services here? i would need one for my uk study trip comng november! and i don't think i have the cash.... A digicam rental and external hd rental will be nice too.....

anywayZ, yup, been busy... i miss the cut six methods of doing things, and separating the work amongst group members... Right now, project meetings are extremely tedious, and i see my group members for hours at a go... (group discussion, without slacking) can go on and on for up to 4 hours. And sometimes, nothing much is accomplished! And worst of all, due to differences in views, we go on and on and on and on.....

there is no escape from powerpoint, one week into group project meetings and i find myself doing the (bloody) powerpoint again!! And there is no escape from citations....

on the bright side, i find myself referring to plenty of things we've studied, muahaha... remember maslow's heirachy of needs? also branding, dtp and the nct text book is particularly helpful! Unfortunately the practical lessons tt teach applications is in diploma lvl and i have to do a lot of self study to catch up on flash, director etc... i can tell you, the pple in my class are simply... beyond reach........ some have worked a few years in the industry already and my skills are simply mediocre compared to theirs.

ah well! anywayZ, for my status now, i'm part studying, part working as an assistant for a comic artist... for now, the pay isn't great, but its like the part time job of my short term dreams. The studio location isn't ideal either, somewhere in industral pasir ris! Travelling back and forth is damn tiring..... how does yh go to school everyday from sengkang?? she must either love travelling a lot... or love school alot... hehZ

update

hi how’s everyone? my bro bought a laptop yesterday so i have a comp to use now :) my old comp is beyond salvation already..

hey pw, u ok? what u wrote seems quite unhappy ar.. eh, i went to check out post office today. wah it cost $18++ to send the year bk to u leh. er.. u come back then i pass to u ok? if i got the extra cash then i send to u ar, paiseh.. actually wanted to send over some mooncakes too, but the person say cannot send food stuff to Australia.. hmm..

ok i shall stop here. will update more when i get hm :)

Happy 40th

Today is National Day, as if you guys need any reminding. On the other hand, I couldn't be more ticked off knowing Singaporeans are enjoying an entire day off while I, a full-fledged Singaporean, slog away at uni.

Halfway into the second week of school and I have decided to go through a major timetable overhaul. I dropped a major, made a thousand calls, picked up a minor, ran through the entire school database, and selected an elective. Gosh it was harder than I thought.

Now I am a mass comm major with a psychology minor; and in order to satisfy credit requirements for this semester, I had to take up this Documentary Film and Television unit. Sheesh. Plus, my psychology units are taught at another campus - a bus, train, and bus again ride away. I must be crazy.

I think the reason why nobody from DMC has ever enrolled here is because the units are too similar. Unless you really really love Advertising and PR and absolutely do not mind a double dose of those god-forsaken subjects, by all means, come to ECU. If not, go to UWA instead, their campus is a lot nicer.

Once again, Happy National Day, folks.

Me.

Self-centred me. :) hehe anyway no one bothers to update this blog anymore!!!! WHY????? is cut6 falling apart like the crumble of a cheese pie??? hurrr....?? *shakes head*

fy, excusable for her computer decided to die on her. so she's busy attending to its funeral. pw, she's busy with MMR and the-likes. :P apart from that, she's also busy with grocey shopping every week.

status for lq, jess & yh: UNKNOWN. please make an effort to update even though it's a one line paragraph thingie. can? so that we know you guys are safe and sound and still alive and kicking people's ass. hahaha!!

i'm enjoying the "no-life" life right now. basically, actually i get off work earliest 7.30pm (minus my first day at 6.30 and that was the last i ever saw sunset) . certain clients make me wait; so i've also learnt to make them wait!! nyek nyek.

in office, 5 minutes = half an hour. 15 minutes = an hour. not my fault that i purposely make them wait okay! it's because designers are tied-up and any changes (esp other languages; read: Chinese) i've to chase my translator's arse. which she absolutely detest me for that but u know me, i heck care.

fortunately, my designers are easy people to work with though they're stressed up to their nose tip. can negotiate kind, not those nasty "i'm a creative person so my words' final" type. PHEW!! my c@pywr!t3r is a lil' funny, though. he makes "cold jokes" which i am obviously oblivion to la. heheheh!!

hey, another thing is my office has about 10 staff (boss inclusive) and only 2 smokes! yay!! pw, remember i said perhaps the AEs scooted off to puff their way to death? no!!! they don't do ciggies!! hooray for me! and we think on the same wavelength: we've other addictions so we've to save money for them. ie shopping, bla bla bla.

alright, looks like i've written alot. your turn now, those silent/ dead/ sleeping cut6 members!! i think we should do something to punish them. if you all don't contribute, the one with the least contribution shall give ALL of us a treat at Gusto! WAHAHAHAHAHA

Shopping and Eating

Hey Cutsix, (or is it cutthree, if I were to be politically incorrect?)

Wish you guys were here! That's Perth's main shopping district in the city, sorta like Orchard Road, but with more colour and flamboyance. Buildings in Singapore are generally constructed with a functional objective, so when you look at a building, like the Paya Lebar Post Office for example, you just go, oh Post Office lor; whereas in Perth, seeing the Post Office makes you go, wah, wanna take picture or not?

It's just like how they've moved our court house to the new one beside the Parliament House? Well I like the old colonial-esque court house much better, because you look at it and it's grandeur gets to you, somehow that building commands respect. The new court house, however, just looks... funny.

Anyhow, I was very pek chek today. The textbook we're using for Communication Research is the same we used for MMR. I nearly peng san. The book sells for $88 (S$114) here! You see already you will also peng san!

after 3 months...

i could be looking for a new job. the AD found out that I could not read and write mandarin. :( no, they didn't ask me during the interview. so naturally, i didn't specify.

she looked like "I got cheated!". SIGHS!!!!

wah actually an AE from BBDO went for interview at my current company leh! and she had 2 rounds of interview. haha i saw their conversation over my colleague's email. kekeekke no! i was not snooping around!

i could not access internet on my computer so had to check my mail using my colleague's workstation. i had to also keep tab on her email because we were expecting an email from supplier. then i saw my colleague asked my AD why she chose me and not the above-mentioned person who has 1 year experience.

apparently they wanted someone with 1 year experience. a couple of them were quite shocked that i was a fresh-out-from-the-oven grad. *quizical look*

We talked about Michael Jackson in class today

Hi guys,

I like to start my posts as if I am writing an email to everyone. So I can say things like I once dreamt of seeing a butterfly on the train and today, i actually saw one!

Haha, pardon me. My housemate from Hong Kong gets excited pretty easily so I think she's rubbing off me.

Anyway, today I start classes! Media Law and Ethics! Do you guys remember the four traditional models of ethics? They are: Religious model, Deontological model, Utilitarian model and Egotistical model! Don't they sound familiar? I could almost hear ms peter's voice when my lecturer was explaining those models. hahaha, how freaky.

And you know what, I have to do court reports for my media law assessment! Sounds fun huh, must pray that I can understand what those native Australians are saying. :S

none

hi hi so how r things with all of u? well, things are quite fine with me. working here has been quite pleasant. good colleagues and good boss. at least the best boss i’ve worked for so far. until now the impression i get is that he is soft-spoken, mild-tempered and humorous.

so sy how’s your new job? first day should be quite free rite? Maybe someday we can have lunch together, since our working places are relatively near to each other.

anyway, my computer is officially dead now. one of these days i’ll visit sim lim square to check things out.. until i get a new comp, tink i wont be online for quite some time. only when i’m at office i can check emails and update blog. but very soon i’ll be given tasks to handle so i wont have much time to update our blog le. so bear with me ok? will update whenever possible..

take care, all!

walau, my neighbour is pig! P-I-G!! he blasts music from last decade and think it's cool. So he turns it on so loud for the entire 6th storey residents (including me). he even plays thai music ok! aiyohhhhhh

wish you were here!

A big G'Day to the cuts-in-singapore!

As you can see, I have arrived safely despite my air-sickness, :), only to discover how cold Perth is. Brrrr... Somehow, locals and some students who hail from places like Ohio, Germany and London think our current weather (4-20C) is hot; makes you wonder what kind of hide they've got on.

Perth is small. Well, the city is, at least. My uni is divided into three (or four? i can't remember) campuses and the campus I'm at is the one nearest to Perth's CBD. It's like living at Tanjong Pagar's outskirts and you've got main shopping districts and chinatown - yeah they have a chinatown too - within bus distances.

Food is slightly more expensive here, but with much larger portions so I guess the cost of living does not differ much from Singapore. It's a different story for some of my friends who come from Malaysia and Hong Kong though, for the Australia currency is 3x that of Malaysia's, and about 5x of Hong Kong. Gosh. So for a lunchbox that costs $5 here (S$6.50) would be RM14 and about an arm and two legs in Hong Kong currency. Imagine that!

On campus, despite the beatiful United Nations environment, Asians generally bond together and do not mix with locals or other caucasians for example, Norweigians (sp) and Americans. It's not because we are an unfriendly lot, the divide just happens that way. Even the way we're grouped in the Student Village - we've got our own Chinatown and Masaleh town. If you happen to see an Asian hanging out with a Masaleh, there's a high chance that Asian is of Gwailo background. That's truth.

Anyway, so far so good! It's definitely an improvement from Singapore, except for the fact that we have to walk a hell lot and the weather's too cold. :)

Tuesday's the Convocation I will be missing. You all better take a lot of photos ah. That's an order!!! Oh, I have not forgotten, Happy 30th, Cellmate!

cut5 + the missing one

graduation..

sy, that was quite a touching msg.. :)

graduation on next tues, all of u coming rite? huh, dunno how it will be like..

mr ang called me today to ask how i am doing, whether i am working or looking for job i think. wah if he goes round calling each and every student he will have to spend a few days doing so. hmm..

anyway, i'm not staying in the production house, dun think i can take it. cut 3 should know what i'm talking abt :p

starting next wed i'll start work in Bible Society, programme and communications department. will be handling admin stuff and publication like newsletter, brochures etc. it's a part time job for the moment, if i'm happy with the job and the boss is happy with me, i might considering working full-time there.

nothing much to update nowadays. been working since 3 weeks ago. 2 weeks at my internship company and 1 week at that production hse. finally tomoro no need to work! hee i shall bring lucy to the vet for her annual vaccination tomoro :) then can bring her to park walk walk also, so happy!

eh, pw flew off to perth today, did u all call her to bid farewell? pw, i dun think yh met up with u rite? sigh..

The Farewell Note.

Dearest Peiwen,

Have a safe journey. Though it's not a light one. Haha! Gosh, do you need more people to help you with your luggage? Provide me the air-ticket and I assure you top notch service, okay!!!!

Anyway, sorry for not being able to see you off but I think it's better to save all of us the embarassment. I cannot control myself, I know I'll weep like maddie. So you don't want to be embarassed, too right? :)

Now that you're gone, there's no one to share my gossip and meanie mean acts with. That's sad. But hopefully, each of us will turn into better beings. Hahaha!! Just kidding! But one thing is, I'll definitely miss your company.

Now that you're on student pass in Down Under, remember to abide the law and regulations. Else, (like what Norman loves to say to me) they'll deport you back!!

Hope you have great fun and top the entire course. Show the kangaroo (hiak hiak!!) that you're nothing but the BEST even in her own land!!

Remember to keep in touch as often as you can; be it through emails or blogs. Never be out of the sync, all!!

Lastly, all of us shall work hard and hopefully be able to make our words come true- to be our own boss and open our very own CutSix Communications.

Love,
The Mean Cellmate

re:dinner

so dinner set on wed? but i dunno if i can make it or not..

yesterday ms kwa called me and gave me this contact. some video production job. i called the lady and went down for an interview just now. near paya lebar there. next mon will start work already. tink she said may work irregular and long hours.

actually she din really ask me a lot of questions. "interview" only lasted abt 10 mins. told me that will have deadlines to meet and may have a lot of pressure. and also she needs someone who is organised and can work closely with her. she said i can try for a week first and see if i like the job or not. think its coz ms kwa "speak quite highly" of me to her. a bit pressure.. skaly i cannot meet up to her expectation..

hey the dinner i let ms kwa noe and see if she is free to join us ok? coz tt day she called me and asked if pw fly off already. so i invited her to join us for this "farewell" dinner. but she not confirmed if free or not..

so we set it at wed 7pm tanjong pagar mrt? i'll let u all noe again what my working hrs is like..

p/s: val is flying off on sunday..

hello boys and girls,

大家好,

你们不必去机场送我啦 (ni men bu bi qu ji chang song wo lah),我爸妈会在 (wo ba ma hui zai),我会不好意思 (wo hui bu hao yi si)。^__^

anyway, let's go to the restaurant in tanjong pagar ok? and yeah i saw where fy took her "research material" from. lol. when are you guys free?

She's ALIVE!!

dear boys & girls,

YINGHUA'S ALIVE!!! yes, i got a sms and call from her. wahhh turns out her sim card decided to take a break and so she could not receive sms-es. shall we forgive her??

ok, fy, pw and i have discussed to have another dinner before the foreign-talent-to-be pw is flying off on 19th july. 9am flight. anyone interested to see her off? count me in! :P if we do see u off, i make sure i am not late ok, pw!!

anyway back to topic: dinner to celebrate pw's departure (oops!!). :P the "lau da" (senior) suggested korean food and she has handed the list to pw for consideration and decision making (I hope!). it'll be on a weekday.

yh has requested to be on monday or wednesday. shall we grant her request since she has been so heartless?

anywayz, pics for fy's 23rd are here. i wanted to post the pics too but i think catching sleep is more important. i don't wish to wake up at noon (again).

outta here now, night all!

thanks lots!!

really paiseh, my comp down, so all this while nv come online. tink my comp heavily infested with viruses and spywares. anybody has effective anti-virus and anti-spyware to recommend? any tips on how to keep my comp free of all these attacks?...

just want to say a big THANK YOU to cut2! thanks for coming all the way to have dinner at my hse. thanks for accompanying me on tis day. thanks for the fun, laughter, and "excitement". thanks for bearing with me when i said i have to rush off. thanks for the card which both of u "desperately" tried to make it seem that it's from cut6. thanks for giving me the GREEN healthy broccoli before stuffing me with my all-time-favourite chocolates :p

thanks for everything.

thanks for sticking around during our three years in sp. thanks for all the fun as well as the tough times. thanks for staying true to this frenship even after we left sch..

ok i think u all get my idea le :p

i hope i dun have to go to work on mon. actually i finished my stuff already, but boss not ard, so have to ask him if i still need to go back or not.. did i tell u all that i saw this student from dmc? harris (i think so, he's from dmc, rite?) doing his internship at p**. he's in accounts department. hmm.. what's a dmc student doing in an accounts department? anyway i SERIOUSLY strongly feel that this company should be banned from taking in interns. they survive on interns all yr round. cheap labour. helpless interns. this time i go back i see more new faces, more new (poor) interns, and less staff around. even my boss is leaving in august. sigh.. i cannot say more how this demoralises ppl so much..

so our next meal shall be at a korean restaurant? unless anybody got other suggestions? (sy?) pw choose the place ok? after "careful study" of the "research material" i given u :p

then how abt the jb trip? are we still on or not?

once again, thanks so much! i really appreciate all the effort from u guys. some things really cannot be expressed in words. they can only be felt in the heart. some things we cannot talk with our mouths. we need to show it with action. and a lot of promises are made empty with too much words but no action. haven't we all heard before *action speaks louder than words*?

i believe that when one is sincere to another, that another is sure to feel the sincerity. and vice-versa.

sunshine

This is the last week i be rotting at home... after which, i will be working. Starting work on monday. zzz.. muz work minimum 2 months, so these two monthsi be working lor and at the same time, job-hunt for better jobs (haha.. i want media or event co... =.= )

i realised creative zen micro got alot of bugs.. having those "reload firmware" problem when i charge it.. then another minute, player not connected.. then after that ok again.. siao liao...

the other day, i was online and i saw mina... aka Ying Hua! thus, i MSN her... waited very long for her reply sia.. she's still in the same company and she was busy, but dunno busy with what la... but i had to log off so ended the conversation liao...

fy, good luck to u too!

rise from coffin

i'm still in malaysia. going back sometime next week, if there's nothing in store for me. anywayz, fy, good luck ah! hope you get your job fast then i can expect a treat from you soon!!

are we game for the JB trip ah? must tell me so that i can plan my finance....hahaha!!

update update!! what's pw doing lately? busy packing ha! pack pack pack!!!

???

nobody posted anything? too busy with life or too bored with life? ...

anyway, just a quick update: yesterday my attachment company called me and asked me to go back as temp for 2 weeks. so i'll be starting work on mon.. some proof-reading job, $6 per hour..

job opportunities beginning to come along

hi all, how's everyone? quite enjoyed the coffee bean session on sat, it was a nice & cozy gathering :) except for the constant "smog" that comes right in my face most of the time..

so when's our next meet-up? the JB trip? do we go JB only or we will go both JB and penang?

whole day stayed at home lazing around. in fact, that's what i have been doing for the past week. am enjoying this nothing-to-do feeling, but at the same time wish to find a job soon. very contradicting..

and i guess all the resumes i sent out have not gone to waste.. today i received 2 calls. one is a govt stat board located at sin ming drive, guess it's very near to my hse. a management support officer position. 5-day week. one-year contract.

another one calls me down for interview tomoro. i dont quite know the job details yet, but one thing i know is that this agency is very near to my attachment company. really hope i can get at least one of these 2 jobs..

wish me all the best :)

the AAD said meetup in office then have breakfast together!!! that is bad because i have to worry about etiquettes. haha am i worrying too much?

the BBQ still going on, nothing has come from val's side.

picture speaks a thousand words

needless to say, i am trying to put up all the pics we took but open the file, can only see this!!Posted by Hello

mean mean pw

hey pw! how can you be so mean? that is not the only pose she had the entire evening! she was trying to pick up a guy with her keropok antics, remember??? :P Posted by Hello

Saturday, May 21, 2005

hey...

wei pw, u very bad leh. i not like that the whole evening ar..

anyway, enjoyed the gathering we had on thurs. hope many yrs down the road, we can still have this kind of gathering..

the camp i went on mon to thurs was my CF camp. it's for graduands from all the unis and polys. there were talks that were meant to prepare us for life after sch. this particular one was abt "Goals":

1. immediate goals (what u want to acheive now)
2. short-term goals (what u want to acheive in 3-10 yrs time)
3. long-term goals (what u want to acheive in 20-30 yrs time)
4. life long goals (what u want to acheive before ur life on earth ends)

we set goals to determine which direction in life we want to take. if we noe clearly what we want, the decisions we make in life will lead us to our goals. if we dun have any goals, maybe we will walk in circles and end up getting what we do not want.

when we come out to work, we are selling our time to employers in exchange for money. then we use the money to buy what we want. seems that money is our "currency" for buying things. but in actual fact our time is our "currency". that means whatever posessions we have is bought with our time (i.e. life) so what do we want to acheive with our life? is it just houses, cars, clothes, material posessions.. etc etc?

the saddest thing is when our life is coming to an end, we realised that what we fought so hard for is not what we truly want..

hmm.. is what i said very confusing? aiyo i also dunno how to say, but thru the talks i begin to think abt stuff that i didn't think abt previously. just want to share it with u all..

Change of Venue

whilst peiwen suggest korean food, i think essential brew is not bad. check out http://www.essentialbrew.com.sg/ it's essentially (pun intended!) a tea place but they serve food also. it's at holland V, same row as Starbucks and Burger King.

take a vote, quick! where where??

Venue: Mad Flemmings, Boat Quay

Saturday, May 14, 2005

blurrrrrr pic by lq's beau. if you all want the original ones (in bigger size) tell me.

cut6 meanies minus super editor and minah kwan

pictures taken on the mini cut6 reunion at yoshinoya, taka. sorry for the delay, all!! :P

run out of idea

hmm.. got boat quay mrt station? i thot its Clarke Quay mrt station? boat quay is near there right?

er, actually its coz i was an intern they less strict with me at that time. perm staff is more strict.. and its not that i dun like the company. i like the ppl there, they are very nice (there are nice ppl around, sy u dun be so pessimistic ar) but the environment is stifling. i dunno how to describe that exact feeling; the high turnover rate speaks for itself..

but i agree "perhaps a bad-tempered head is better coz he doesn't hide his feelings like some hypocrite out there..." my german boss is that kind of person. straightforward and emotional. when he's angry he just burst out at you (many a times causing much tears, esp among girls). but after that everything is back to normal, no grudges nothing. he's not a hypocrite who is nice in front of you and stabs you at the back. whatever he sees that is not to his liking, he just shoots. it's good in a way, u noe what u have done wrong. coz for sure he will point out your mistakes right in your face, u dun have to worry that he will do something behind your back. no hypocrisy. but u have to be able to withstand his lashing..

sy, i saw the ad for copywriter u sent to me. thanks! tomoro i’ll send them my resume :)

cut6 Reunion

Date: 20/05/2005; Friday
Time: 7 p.m.
Venue: Mad Flemmings, Boat Quay

let's meet at the boat quay mrt control station and proceed to the place together. :D like school times. so even if we get lost, we get lost together!! hahaha!!

pw: you know where the place is?

lq, yh and jess: please tell us if you can make it. at least sms us. thank you.

Friday, May 13, 2005

me again

i dunno if the programme is free or not, but i dun think so. cannot be free one right?

i was looking at JobsDB.com and saw that my internship company is looking for a feature writer. the thought of applying flashed thru my mind. haha but my mind got the better of me eventually..

so our dinner is set next friday? want to invite F4 to join us?

Date: 20 May 2005
Time: 7pm
Place: Clarke Quay

over over

yah i'm on for the bbq. anything need help can let me know :p

not very free these days.. got quite a few meetings and camps.. graduate already also have to hand over properly mah. or else how will juniors continue?

anyway, job hunt is really tough. sent out quite a lot of resumes, but no replies. that day yiling msg me. said she attended a programme that taught her how to go about job hunting. she applied the skills and secured quite some interviews. she asked if i'm interested in the programme..

sure sy, anytime u wan come amk, just give me a call :)

ATTENTION ALL!!

please take note: our class BBQ:

Date:18/06/2005, Saturday
Venue: Val's house
Time: To Be Confirmed

Please pay $10 for the bbq. thank you. it's only a budget, afterall, 10bucks for a day of fun and last gathering with classmates aren't too much right? you all earn quite a fair bit during internship. Of course, i will bring down to less than 8 (I hope) and return the change to you guys.

RSVP by 10th June 2005, friday. thanks ha!

die-ed

i think our video has decomposed. ie, died and rotted for decades. jess said fy, you're busy this entire week. so she asked me to draw up a schedule or something. fy, btw you're a grad, so why are you busying yourself with CF? time to let go...

anyway the video has to be done before 30th may, what are you guys' take? i think it's not easy because of our procrastination and we're seriously lacking talent pool and no one is taking initiative except jess, fy and myself. i am not pointing fingers here but then it's rather tiring to have to come up with schedule and brainstorming session- what scenes need what, who, where, etc etc. i think our ultimate video is a bubble- blow big but burst gradually, into thin air.

fy, it's ok. i went ikea today with my friend. ok la the tables, nothing caught my eye. rather, nothing fitted my specifications, my needs. sighs! wana go ang mo kio walk walk ler see if there're any furniture shops there. do they?

anybody home? away for holiday

sorry sy, din managed to accompany you to ikea today. went to vega's father's office. he wanted to talk to me about starting a magazine. wanted me to help out in his company..

anyway, so how's job hunting? i discovered some interesting companies when i visited her father's office today. writing, branding.. and some others.

er.. our video die already? we won't be continuing anymore?

want to meet up for dinner next fri (20 may)?

Monday, May 09, 2005

doubtful

information from jess: edmund and mr loh won't be in school monday and tuesday, so our shooting will have to be postphoned to wednesday.

frankly speaking, i have doubts that we can come up with the video, with the current few kitten crew we have..

Sunday, May 08, 2005

anybody home?

has shooting started? or is it postponed to monday? do we have any progress?

Wednesday, May 04, 2005

Shooting starts

shooting will start on friday morning. so lq and jess, please be early. jess you'd better be early ah!! the time, arrange with fy. sorry i am going back home on friday morning so cannot help out...

you all must be wondering why i go back on friday morning when i said i have interview on friday, 5pm right? oblivion me thought 5th may is friday, thus the blunder....heheheheh

so option 4 it is, yeah, all. gambate!!
i juz came back from Scotts Shopping Centre and i saw someone.
Do you guys remember this Mr. Steven Lim?
Anyhow, boyfriend and i were having our dinner when i turned around and saw this guy.
Looks familiar. Then i saw the infamous white badge/tag that reads "Steven Lim, Professional Eyebrows Stylist "
Den i confirm chop chop guarantee it was him.
But must have some evidence supporting mah, so i took a side shot of him using my phone..
He was having his watermelons then, and i snapped one shot discreetly.
After he left, i told the boy about that.
He was unconvinced til he saw the pic and zoomed it in.
Muahaha... But gonna delete it soon... Maybe after i showed u guys tom. might corrupt my phone :
i got an interview tomorrow (Wed) for the position as events executive.
Then another called and said there's this management trainee position that will eventually (with 6mths training) lead me to being a branch manager(!)
and another one is a temporary job as customer service...
that one i applied cos is related to my experience la...
if not, sooner or later, short of cash will die one>_<

Plans Changed.

sorry all, my plan changed. won't be going back after all because i just got another notice for interview on friday for AE! yay yay! :P

anyway meet tmr for storyline development ah? decide quick!!

fy, how was your trip? any satisfaction? tell us, tell us! i wana know more!!

missing in action

hi all, long time never post le. paiseh, been quite busy with the preparation of my mission trip. hmm.. i see only few are active on this blog. maybe we should seriously come up with another name for our group. not cut5 or cut4. we need another different name that suits our group better.

YES i'm all for BBQ Round 2. if anything need help we can all do it together (i hope)

sent out a couple of resumes lately. jobs i applied for: copy writer, editorial coordinator, corp comm executive, marketing coordinator. will be having an interview on thursday for the post of marketing coordinator. quite unrelated to media and comm, but i'll give it a try anyway. the only big con is that the company is at jurong east. manufacturer of marine and offshore control systems. sounds so alien to me.

a quote from the german boss at internship company:"There are three types of people: people who watch things happen, people who wonders what happened and those who make it happen."

back in the company, his pet phrase was "Make it happen." i realised this has some meaning behind. if we are those who just sit around and watch things happen or worse still, wonders what happened, we will miss out a lot of things in life. i'm trying to learn to be more active and less passive. it's a tough lesson for me..

June 18th Two-O-O-Five

ATTENTION EVERYONE: Val has proposed to have another class gathering on 18/06/2005. Should be BBQ Round II at her place... anyone has any objections? tell, quick horhh

yh be prepared to drown with the otahs and satays! sticks after sticks! woohhhhhh hiak hiak hiak

memory lane dont want us already

i was quite surprised to hear about not being able to borrow books anymore. our efficient BizIT still owes me two books i've asked them to buy since last last semester!!!

do you know that i once went to kaopeh to the stupid fat librarian because they went to release a book i've asked them to buy for public borrowing without telling me?!? i will always remember how that stupid fat librarian tried to sympathize by giving me this faux-understanding look.

hmph. stupid fat librarian.

anyway, about options 3 and 4.

a day in the life of white collar...
comical idea, but shooting is complicated.

14 days to...
non-original concept, but can be shot in private... needs to use lq's bf as talent though. heee...

oh, please stop talking about edumundooooooo, i'm so freaked out. if anyone of you were the one talking to him on the phone, you will definitely have a different view of him. i'm almost scared to look at him now.
