Shopping and Eating

Hey Cutsix, (or is it cutthree, if I were to be politically incorrect?)

Wish you guys were here! That's Perth's main shopping district in the city, sorta like Orchard Road, but with more colour and flamboyance. Buildings in Singapore are generally constructed with a functional objective, so when you look at a building, like the Paya Lebar Post Office for example, you just go, oh Post Office lor; whereas in Perth, seeing the Post Office makes you go, wah, wanna take picture or not?

It's just like how they've moved our court house to the new one beside the Parliament House? Well I like the old colonial-esque court house much better, because you look at it and it's grandeur gets to you, somehow that building commands respect. The new court house, however, just looks... funny.

Anyhow, I was very pek chek today. The textbook we're using for Communication Research is the same we used for MMR. I nearly peng san. The book sells for $88 (S$114) here! You see already you will also peng san!
