had been to several wakes/funerals of friends' grandparents, parents, relatives... but this is the first time i went to a friend's wake.
a friend i hung out with, a friend i talked to, a friend i laughed with, a friend close to my heart...
just returned from the wake of a poly CF fren who passed away in a motorbike accident yesterday.
the feeling is... indescribable.
i'm not sure how to handle this. the emotions, the pain, the regrets...
ironically, two days ago, my colleages and i were just discussing the unpredictability of life. we were talking about how people tend to spend all their life engrossed in things they thought was essential or significant, but at the end of the day only to realise that they have missed the most important things that really matter...
and i commented that we should not focus excessively on external, materialistic things and neglect family/friends around us whom we care for or who care about us.
i would not have known that this statement turned out to be so true for me just one day after i said it.
be thankful for what we have, cherish the people around us. before it is too late.

i've been thru that... the pain and agony of attending the wake and funeral of a close fren of yrs. When i was in poly yr 1 or 2, one of my secondary sch best fren passed away at the age of 19. she had struggled with brain virus for a few years, and while was on the process of recovering. but somehow, in the end, she succumbed to the virus attack.
At that point of time, my friends and I were feeling so miserable and really blaming ourselves for not cherishing and spending more time with her and everything :(
Life is really precious, really really haf to cherish everyone around us.
